The Cowgirls have done it! Oklahoma State secures its first-ever women's tennis national championship!

Oklahoma State upended California to reach the NCAA Women's Tennis Championship Finals. The Cowgirls (29-4) faced a California team that had only lost one match all season, which earned them the top-seed in the tournament.

For the first time in school history, Oklahoma State's women's tennis team advanced to the semifinal round of the NCAA Tennis Championship with a 4-2 victory against No. 4 Ohio State at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center.

The Cowgirls had to battle through the night to advance to the NCAA quarterfinals for the first time since the NCAA Tennis Championship expanded to a 64-team field. Oklahoma State picked up a 4-0 victory against fifth-seeded Georgia in the last match of the evening, which started at 9:35 p.m. due to weather conditions.

For the second-straight season the Oklahoma State women's tennis team has advanced to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tennis Championship after a 4-0 victory against Tulsa at the Michael and Anne Greenwood Tennis Center. The win marked the second-straight season that the Cowgirls hosted the first and second rounds at home and advanced. The Cowgirls completed a perfect 18-0 record at home this season.

For the first time in 13 years Oklahoma State's women's tennis team won the Big 12 Championship with a 4-0 victory against Texas Tech at the Michael and Anne Greenwood Tennis Center. The Cowgirls knocked off three opponents in three days to claim the tournament championship. OSU defeated the Red Raiders twice this season by a combined score of, 8-0, after being picked to finish second in the conference behind Texas Tech.
