2011 Fall Cheer Clinic

Saturday, Nov. 5, 2011   8:00a.m. to 1:00p.m.  

The newly remodeled Colvin Center located on Hall of Fame Ave. just four blocks west of Gallagher-Iba Arena and three blocks west of Boone Pickens Stadium.

Middle Schools, Junior High Schools, High Schools, All Star Squads            

$40.00 per person.  Cost includes clinic instruction and a football game ticket (OSU vs. K-State).  Registrations are due by Monday, October 24,  2011. 
School Purchase Orders will be accepted.

Sponsors of squads 1-12 in size will receive FREE, one t-shirt and one football game ticket.  Sponsors of squads 13-24 in size will receive FREE, two t-shirts and two football game tickets.  Extra game tickets may be purchased for $50.00 each.  Although seating is limited, sponsors and parents are welcome to watch the clinic and competition.  Video taping of clinic and competition IS permissible.  Cheer sponsors will receive ONE typed copy of cheers and chants.

Cheerleaders will be judged on a home cheer.  Music is allowed.        
(optional)                Routine must be no longer than 2 minutes.

Evaluation sheets will be provided for all teams prior to competition.

Trophies will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in each of the following divisions:   
High School:        Any combination of Sophomores, Juniors or Seniors. 
Junior High:         NO Sophomores, Juniors or Seniors.
All-Star Division:  IF three or more squads compete                                                          

1st place winners in each division will perform a Half Time Routine during an OSU Men’s Basketball Game!

2nd place winners in each division will perform a Half Time Routine during an OSU Women’s Basketball Game!                                                                                                           

Register in the EAST Lobby of The Colvin Center from 8a.m.-8:45a.m.  Enter through the EAST doors. You will receive your t-shirts and game tickets at registration.  Pre-paid registrations are processed much faster! 

Clinic t-shirts are available for $10.00 each.  They are white, 100% heavyweight cotton with two-color printing.  Shirts are not included in the
clinic price.

All squads receive one complimentary photo.  Be sure to have your squad picture taken IMMEDIATELY after check-in BEFORE instruction begins.

8:00a.m. – 8:45a.m.    Registration & Squad Photo:  PLEASE BE PROMPT!
9:00a.m. – 9:45a.m.    Introductions, present material and break up into groups.
9:45a.m. – 10:45am.   Instruction of cheerleader material.  A sponsor
meeting will be held at this time.  Location TBA.
10:45a.m. –11:00am.    Prepare for squad evaluation on HOME material. (optional).
11:00a.m. – 11:45a.m. Evaluations on HOME material (required IF you are going to
11:45a.m. – 12:45pm.  Competition (optional).
12:45p.m. – 1:00p.m.   Awards

Game time is typically 6p.m. but is dictated by television.  The clinic itinerary might be affected by game start time.  Once game time is set, you will be notified via e-mail with final clinic itinerary. 

Please drop off squad members at the EAST side of The Colvin Center.  Squad members will enter through the EAST doors for registration.  Bus drivers will then proceed to Parking Lot #81 which is on the North side of Hall of Fame Ave., two blocks West of The Colvin Center.  If you choose to walk to the game after the clinic the football stadium is only three blocks east of The Colvin Center.
